The Lord is always faithful. Back in January, I shared how The Lord had given me the word strength for “my word” this year. Four months into this year, and He has shown me numerous times the reason(s) He pointed me to this particular word. He’s used verses, quotes, and affirmations to help me understand strength is never obtained alone. As I was praying one morning, you know me by now early riser with coffee cup in hand, The Lord showed me an amazing truth through a startling photo. I had been perusing facts and information about Alaska. I came across one of an eagle in flight. He soared above the clouds and the storm. The Lord said, “Look at his wings. He’s not flapping excessively in distress. He’s not fighting the storm. He’s not trying to control the problem.” You know when The Lord calls you by name how your spirit is moved. Well, He said to my heart. “Tracy, SOAR. Stop flapping.” I had a mental image of my past middle-aged, bad knees, bad-hair-day self -using all the “strength” I had to flap. And I said out loud, “What are you doing, girl? How clueless can I be? Why was I attempting to fly by my strength, by myself?” So, this is to let you know if you see me trying to flap all by myself. Look at me and lift your arms and say, “SOAR, FRIEND.” I need you, and you need me; we need each other. How are you SOARING? I pray you feel the wind in your face and the breath of The Lord God Almighty lifting you high. Let’s pray for one another so we each feel the Hand of our Savior lifting us up. You are loved, friends.
